Materials

Each type of filament we provide in stock or special order have their own purpose. Advanced filaments (ABS, ASA) have limited colors and purposes where more basic filaments (PLA, PETG) have a more variety of colors due to them being more common use. Each product listed on this website will show what type of material it is made in. If the material which it is made in does not suit your needs, please reach out to us within 12 hours of placing your order to ensure the proper filament is utilized for your print.

Filament labeled "In Stock" is our standard always in stock filament. Filament labeled "Special Order" is filament which will need to be special ordered, which adds an additional $15 to the order unless otherwise specified.

  • PLA - Polylactic Acid

Common use material for 3D Printing. This filament is not suitable for use outdoors, in vehicles, in direct sunlight, in water, or any location which may exceed 110 degrees Fahrenheit.

  • PETG - Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol

Common use material for 3D printing. This filament can be used outdoors, however may be susceptible to discoloration due to the weather and UV from the sun. It is not recommended for use within vehicles or any location which may exceed 140 degrees Fahrenheit. PETG can be used within water.

  • ABS - Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene

Filament used more commonly within prints which require more structural integrity (heat resistance, deflection resistance, etc). This filament can be used outdoors, however may be susceptible to discoloration due to the weather and UV from the sun. This filament can be utilized within vehicles but not in a location which may exceed 220 degrees Fahrenheit, unless it is coated for heat resistance which may slightly increase the temperature resistance.

  • ASA - Acrylonitrile Styrene Acrylate

Filament more commonly used for structural integrity and technical parts. Can be used outdoors and it has UV resistance from the sun, which should reduce or negate discoloration from the sun. This filament can be used within vehicles but should not be used in locations which may exceed 220 degrees Fahrenheit, unless it is coated for heat resistance which may slightly increase the temperature resistance.
